The Royal Eagle Foundation accepts written proposals for funding that align with one or more of the following areas:

Preserving Polish American History in Michigan

Supporting efforts to document, preserve, and share the history of the Polish-American community as it has developed and flourished throughout the State of Michigan.

Recognizing Polish-American Contributions

Supporting projects that highlight and promote the cultural, social, religious, and civic contributions of Polish-American individuals and communities in Michigan and across American society.

Advancing Polish Culture, Language, and the Arts

Supporting cultural and social activities, programs, and projects that promote Polish language, art, literature, music, traditions, and cultural heritage.

Providing Charitable Assistance in Poland

Supporting charitable efforts that provide medical assistance, clothing, food, shelter, or other basic needs for individuals in Poland who are poor, elderly, infirm, or otherwise in need.

Inspiring Youth Appreciation of Polish Heritage

Supporting activities and projects that help young people develop a meaningful appreciation for their Polish heritage, cultural identity, and the accomplishments of the Polish community.

The Royal Eagle Foundation welcomes funding requests from organizations and programs whose work aligns with our mission and charitable funding priorities. Requests are reviewed and discussed by Royal Eagle Foundation Board members on a regular basis.

HOW TO SUBMIT A REQUEST

Funding proposals may be submitted by email or by mail.

Please include “Funding Request” in the subject line or on the mailed proposal cover page.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR PROPOSAL

To help the Foundation properly review your request, please include the following information:

Please provide a brief overview of your organization, including:

• Organization name
• Mission and history
• Geographic area served
• Population or community served
• Current programs or services
• Nonprofit status, if applicable

Please clearly explain:

• The amount of funding requested
• The specific program, project, event, or need the funding would support
• The timeline for the project or use of funds
• Whether the request is for general operating support, program support, event sponsorship, capital needs, emergency assistance, or another purpose

Please describe how the funding will make a difference, including:

• Who will benefit from the support
• What outcomes you hope to achieve
• Why this funding is important at this time

Please include the primary contact person for the request:

• Name
• Title
• Mailing address
• Phone number
• Email address

Applicants are also encouraged to include, when available:

• Sponsorship opportunities, if applicable
• Marketing or recognition opportunities available to funders
• Photos, brochures, flyers, or other materials that help explain the program or event

Requests are reviewed and discussed by Royal Eagle Foundation Board members on a regular basis. Submission of a proposal does not guarantee funding. The Foundation may contact applicants for additional information before making a final decision.

Organizations that receive funding from the Royal Eagle Foundation are required to provide a written letter of acknowledgement within 30 days of receiving funds.

The Foundation also appreciates follow-up information after the funded program, event, or project has taken place. This may include:

• A brief explanation of how the funding was used
• Photos from the event, program, or project
• A summary of the impact made possible by the funding
• Stories, testimonials, or examples of community benefit

The Royal Eagle Foundation appreciates recognition for its support whenever appropriate. Recognition may include:

• Promotional mentions
• Event sponsorship recognition
• Logo placement
• Website or social media acknowledgement
• Printed program recognition
• Naming opportunities
• Signage at an event or funded location
• Public acknowledgment in newsletters, press releases, or community communications

Recognition opportunities should be included in the proposal when available.

The Royal Eagle Foundation seeks to support meaningful work that strengthens communities and creates measurable impact. Applicants are encouraged to submit clear, concise proposals that explain the need, the opportunity, and the difference Foundation support will make.
